To invite the powerful blessing of the wood dragon into your home - and most importantly recognise together with your house spirits and local earth spirits the beginning of the 20-year feng shui period 9 represented by the element fire - try to engage in this simple ritual. 

Over the next 15 days- starting on the 10th of February - the Chinese New Year and New Moon, you must burn at least one stick of incense in your home, every day.  

The incense must invite money, health, love or peace into the household. You can choose a different incense each day. Should you choose to amplify the energy of this simple ritual make sure you light a tea light in your dragon tea light holder- to recognise the powerful energy of this auspicious year of the dragon. Incense is a powerful spiritual tool, which is why  You always see incense being burnt in temples and churches. Burning incense is a way to offer the local spirits the invisible energies of your home and business. You want to have the support of local earth spirits in 2024.  

Why you ask? Because 2024 is going to be a fiery year - and you and your family will seek a sanctuary in which to recharge your batteries. This will be your home and hearth. 

Red is one of the best colours to introduce into your home in 2024 as it stops the quarrelsome energy that permeates this year. From the 4th of February, the  #3 star of disagreements and arguments flies into the centre of every home and business. It will create an aggressive atmosphere. You have to place feng shui cures in the centre of the home to quell this negative energy. place a red dragon with a wealth pearl in the centre to activate the energy of fire and suppress the #3 wood star of arguments.

In 2024 the #9 star of future prosperity as it was known in period 8 changes to the current star of prosperity as we enter period 9. It is therefore a good idea to introduce the number 9 into your life. Try to get cellphone numbers with 9’s, houses with the number 9 will become lucky and if you are getting a new car, introduce the number 9 into your number plate. It will serve you well over the following years.

The #9 star of current prosperity flies into the southwest of your home for 2024. Southwest represents the matriarch.  By activating the southwest of your home and business you attract good fortune to all females over 40.  You can place 9 similar objects together in this area of the home. On the 15th day of the Chinese New Year, the Spring Festival holiday comes to an end with the Yuan Xiao or Lantern Festival, The Lantern Festival marks the first full moon of the new lunar year and will be celebrated on February 24th 2024. This is a time to Light your lanterns and hang them outside on the night of the festivity. If you wish to engage with this powerful moon- make sure you have candles at the ready if you don't have lanterns. Also (if there is no load shedding) light up your front door to attract positive chi. You want the wood dragon to bless your home, and your family and support all the earth spirits that reside together with you.
