Welcome to the Wintery Month of July, 

If you are feeling challenged by everything around you it is time to implement simple relaxing techniques. 

How do you know you are emotionally challenged? 

You will become more easily triggered and prone to stress which will be exhibited in insomnia, shouting at the dogs and your kids and closing down emotionally.  You could find yourself becoming more emotionally distant from your partner and feeling isolated and overburdened. 

Three simple practices are: 

1. Find five minutes during your hectic day to simply breathe. Inhale- and then Exhale in a huge gush of breathe through an open mouth.
   Haaaa……Now breathe in - hold your breath and haaaa again. Repeat three times relaxing your whole body into the exhale.
2. Change your weekend routine. Jump in the car and head to a park- or surrounding neighbourhood where there are mountains and trees. Go for a brisk walk or jog. Relax on nearby benches and drink in nature's glory. For those of you lucky enough to have a garden. Walk barefoot- stretch out on the grass looking at the beautiful blue sky and allow yourself the pleasure of cloud watching. 
3. Most of all- avoid negative people who bring you down. Rather hang with your pets who bring you pleasure- or phone that friend who makes you laugh and feel good about yourself.
