Dragon mythology is woven into most cultures. The Chinese revere dragon strength and protection- and they have used this ancient celestial creature to represent the high ground or left-hand side of the landscape of a home or building.

The Dragon is also a Chinese Zodiac sign- and many people carry the proud bearing of this mythological creature. This year 2024 is the year of the dragon represented by the element wood and it is found in the south-east sector of your home. It is also where Tai Sui resides this year. He is a deity with immense power and authority.  Each year he shifts into different sectors of the zodiac signs and areas of your home and business. Tai Sui, or, as he is known, the Year God has to be respected so that his energy can support and guide you. 

Chinese philosophy works with dragon energy. That is why every Chinese New Year you see Dragon dances as everyone celebrates a new beginning and a new year. The presence of dragon energy in your home and business is very important- more so this 2024 year. How you achieve this is by placing dragon figurines around your home. Dragons come in many shapes and sizes and many formats. They can also be carved on pots, walls and murals.  They can be created from different products be they wood, metal, resin and clay. On average you can place  9 dragons in your home and business. However, you have to be sure you can control this dynamic energy!

If you are going to place a dragon in your bedroom- it can only be a dragon holding a pearl because it has gentler energy and supports parents who are of childbearing age. In ancient Chinese mythology, it was said by placing the pearl dragon in your bedroom you were ensured to have sons. Make sure the pearl dragon faces into the house- as the pearl represents wealth.  Otherwise, abstain from placing dragon figurines in bedrooms- it makes the room too yang. You can also place this dragon in your living room, office or east of most rooms except kitchens and bathrooms.

Place the gold dragon with wealth pearl in the west of your home to negate the star of misfortune #5 and the star of illness, #2 that flies into the west of every home and business in 2024. Those born under the sign of the Rooster must be very, very careful, as they are the Chinese zodiac sign that represents the West.  They have to feng shui the west of their homes and businesses. These two stars bring all kinds of obstacles, illness and negative things to one's life and home.  This gold dragon will protect your wealth and cut through the #5 star of misfortune. He must face west. You will also have to add other metal feng shui remedies to protect this area of your business from misfortune and illegal entanglements. 

Dragons generally are placed in the east of a room, home, business or garden. This is their traditional home and favourite sector and where they bring the most chi and energy into your life. If this is your front door- or patio door- place a dragon on either side of the door facing outward towards the east. This is also a good area to place a water feature. Dragons love water. This year we have created a wood dragon (the element of wood is supported by the element of water). A selection of dragons in the east of your home and business will work perfectly. Add wind chimes in the east of your home. you want to ring in the lucky #1 star of luck. 

Place a dragon on your office desk (where you can easily see it ) or on the east side of your office. To activate its power place a crystal ball together with it and a small bowl of water. Make sure you keep both the crystal ball and the dragon's energy high by smudging and cleansing it regularly. Change the water daily. During a new moon to the full moon phase, known as waxing,  always light a red or green solid-coloured candle to activate its wealth attraction abilities. Let the candle burn for 17 mins - then - snuff the candle out.
