My love for crystals has certainly taken me down a rocky road, no pun intended.

I, CrystalDebz, was instrumental in naming, channelling and understanding the vast deposit known as Cactus Quartz. 
 

Melody, a world-famous Crystal Guru (from America) called it spirit quartz after the magnificent deep purple spirit quartz was discovered. The name was given to this crystal by the diggers as it resembled “methylated spirits”. Americans prized the purple “spirit quartz" not fully knowing the sacred energies and vastness of the rest of the cactus quartz tribe. There is the fairy quartz, the citrine cactus quartz, the crimson queens, king whites and the different shades of purples and smoky-coloured cactus quartz. Each of these beautiful cactus quartz crystals has a different energy and when combined with other crystals their magic changes.   What I loved most about discovering the vastness of this deposit was that most of the miners, at that time, were women feeding their families and educating their children.

It was a sight to see, as my brother and I would travel down dusty roads being invited into tiny houses for a “cool drink”  to buy the diggers' cactus quartz crystals. Negotiations were tough, and cleaning the crystals back home even harder. Finding that perfect crystal became a grading job that took us deep into the night. Cactus quartz is a beautiful crystal with so many mystical nuances, and for us South Africans it holds a lot of power as it comes from our sacred land. 

I have also channelled the energies of the famous Witches Finger when it was discovered years ago. This crystal was brought back home by Gerdus Bronn- a wonderful crystal hunter. He named it the witch's finger because of how the crystal showcased itself. The witch's fingers come from a deposit in Zambia.  A few of my American counterparts worked with me in furthering the spread of this crystal to other healers and reiki masters around the world.  I believe the powerful energies of the witch's fingers still needs to be worked with. I’m sure it will come of age as, and when we need its mineral power.

However, the biggest delight for me over the years has been working with you. 

The journey has been long and I have shared many things with many people. Children being born, grandchildren being born, and, teenagers coming of age. However, the most beautiful journey of all has been the spiritual and personal growth that everyone has undergone. Empowered children become parents who now teach their children to be "kind” and compassionate beings. Being kind and caring does not mean being abused and used. Being kind means setting boundaries because you have self-worth. It means teaching others and sharing your wisdom with them. It is a journey we hopefully share, towards enlightenment, and nirvana, with compassion being the key.  

As with everyone I meet, I have made many mistakes, travelled in and out of love, had regrets, and been through tough sad times. From this viewpoint, I am sure that there are many more lessons ahead. However, one thing is for sure, I have also been blessed beyond measure. And, for this, I am deeply grateful. 

All of the above I see reflected in you.
