Chinese ( spring) new year Intention setting ritual 2026
First Light a stick of incense . Next Light a yellow candle with intention setting your wishes and hopes for 2026 . You can if you choose to encircle the candle with dragons salt. Make sure you place wax paper underneath. While the flame burns think about at least three areas of your life you want to improve and what major intentions you are setting for 2026. Write them down on a piece of paper . Place your written wishes inside your lucky crimson horse envelope and add 100 rand note ( or 10 x R10 notes) together with the Chinese coin provided. Hide this somewhere sacred in your home. You will read it next year - to see whether you achieved your goals. Allow your candle to burn for at least a half and hour .
Take the dragon salt provided and at your front door create a swirling circle of powerful blessing salt heading towards your front door. You are bringing in powerful blessings that coincide with the year of the horse. Visualise the prosperity !! Place your door mat on top of the salt.
This intention setting ritual can also be performed on the traditional Chinese new year 17th February. The dragon salt ritual can be performed every new moon.
