Happy Winters Solstice everyone- as we celebrate the shortest day and the longest night of the year. The winter solstice marks the exact moment when half of Earth is tilted the furthest away from the sun. Astronomically, the winter solstice marks the end of fall and the beginning of winter.

I know this time is all about self-reflection and setting intentions for the new year- but it is also about passion and power as we connect with this huge cosmic energy.

This winter solstice- You may want to take time to honour and acknowledge the endings & new beginnings in your life in a ceremony or personal ritual that both honours your past and clears space to make room for what you wish for the coming year. Make an offering that represents the past and give it to the Spirit of Fire as a completion.

How about having a bonfire in your garden with the whole family gathered around- and all of you reflect on what has been? Then each person can add a small offering to the flames and afterwards (hopefully drinking something warm as you sit around the fire) set your intentions for all the new beginnings and exciting adventures each of you want to bring into your lives.
